Help with Monsoon problems

My car when I bought it had an aftermarket amp and deck.

I recently ripped everything out and returned it to normal.

It seems all the original wirering is there but heres my problems:

1. Rear speakers don't work at all... I presume it might of been cut...I will look into that more tommorow.

2. This is my main problem. The sound comming out the sail panels and doors are really quiet.


Is this because my car wasn't originaly a monsoon car? I thought the radios where compatible.

i am having the same problem with a 98 Z28 someone cut out most the wire and installed a amp and subs. using my parts car i put the harness back together and ripped out all the amp wires. the speakers where working with out a amp istalled before i started ripping out the wires. now there is no sound comming out of the speakers.

i think the sail speakers are quiet cuz those are the woofers and are powered at 2 ohms by the amp. I know I have WallyWorld specials in mine right now. They are quiet it until you crank it up and then all you get is BOOM and rattle. There is a thread that talks about the best replacement speakers to stock.
