Unhappy Help! Lights behind steering wheel audio buttons don't work...

I have a '99 T/A. In the last two weeks, both of the steering wheel auido control buttons have mysteriously lost their backlights. The first to go was the right side button, then two weeks later the left side.

I assume their bulbs have simply burned out as both buttons continue to function otherwise. It's just a pain in the a$$ at night to find them, plus they look cool at night when they're illuminated.

Can someone please direct me on how to replace these bulbs, or at least direct me to a thread that deals with this same problem (couldn't find one by seaching)?

    Many thanks in advance!

Do you know if this would work on a 95 T/A with the same problem on the right side of steering wheel? Last tech article I saw said needed to disengage crash bag in steering wheel first and then remove top padded part of steering wheel to get to radio control modules since wiring harness is so short to just pry off control. I like your way much better, if it will work? Anybody know??

It should work, I bought a steering wheel off of ebay last year for my Fiero from a 95 T/A. Just put the switch in my 98 to see if the lights worked, they did not but the switches worked fine.
