getting 1 maybe 2 10inchers for my maro

im thinking about getting a 1 10inch sub and am amp for my 02 camaro tomorrow.whats the best 10 inch sub and amp that are priced below 400$and i plan on putting it in the back left where my cd changer is with a stealth box but i dont know if it will sound off because its on the left side of my car and i dont want it to sound like all the base is coming from the left side so would getting 2 10inches get rid of that?thanks in advance and i need to know asap

The sub location won't matter to you ears because subwoofers produce omnidirectional sound below 200hz, so just running one sub will be fine. Since the sub would likely be in about a .6cu.ft. enclosure you need a sub that's designed to perform well in a enclosure that small. The first to come to mind is the Fi-SSD, and the Fi-Q. For Amps get one with at least 400 watts rms.

Orion Cobalt CO800.1, Power Output in Watts RMS, 2 Ohms 400 x 1, $130 to $170.
Alpine MRP-M500, 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, $170 to $180.
Eclipse XA1200, 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, $130.
Kicker 08ZX500.1, 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, $200

I would put more money into the Sub, most amps (when your only pushing 500W or less) don't show much a difference in performance. When you get on a crappy sub, you'll really start to hear it no matter what the Watts, so not too much point in spending much on an amp while on a budget.

I'm a huge fan of Solo-baric S7's, ranging from 8" to 15". One of those will produce alot of bass, but they can require more than average volume for enclosure.

And also keep in mind that a box will be around $100. The lowest I found online when I bought mine was $89.

I have a pair of loaded stealth boxes for sale if your interested. They have Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1s in them. Perfect sub for a stealth box. Only thing I would go with over those would be the Fi SSD, like stated above, but there kinda pricey. Only reason I'm selling em is I'm going with a single Fi BTL 12 in a ported hatch box.
