did i buy the wrong speaker?

i bought a monsoon front door speaker. when i went to go change out the new front door speaker the speaker is not the same attachment. i have a 2000 camaro monsoon. and the front door speaker has only a red and black wire and an attachment. the speaker i bought has 2 red wires going to the attachment along with 2 black wires. i am guessing i bought the 92 - 96 speakers?

I have a 2001 monsoon system, my stock speakers had the double posts. One set of red/black went into the woofer, the other set went to the tweeter. You should have four total wires coming to the speaker.

Maybe in 2000 the monsoon system didn't have two-way speakers, just a single woofer. But it sounds like the speaker you bought are the same as my stockers.
