    Question cooling fans

    Can anyone tell me where the senser is located that controls the radiator fans on my 1998 LS1 Trans am.? Thanks

    Welcome to the board. The ECT sensor is located on the drivers side head, right next to the cyl #1 exhaust port. Fan on/off temps are controlled by the PCM with inputs from the ECT.

    Thanks; My fans are not working. I was just wondering where to start looking for the problem. I know some cars have a unit that threads into the radiator that controls the fans but these are different. Well now I know where to start looking. Thanks again
