Can I just add a 2 ohm mid in the door and .......

For my 01 monsoon system. Front passenger speaker crackles with bass. left front has no highs. Since I am not able to find a replacement set easily and infinity stopped making the ones in the sticky I wanted to just cut holes for a component set and add them in the door panel beside the stock location. anyone try this method?

Why do you want to add a 2 ohm speaker instead of a 4 ohm?

Isnt the stock speaker a 2 ohm? or is the woofer a 2 and tweeter a 4 ? I just want to replace my monsoon speaker with something else since I cant find any camaro ones.
