Best 6 1/2's for under $200
I'm look at getting some new speakers for my trunk which i take are 6 1/2's and seeing how i know nothing about speakers i was wondering what's a good pair for under two hundred? Whats the difference between two and three way speakers?
I've been checking out these infinity's

Youd most likely be happy with those. Infinity speakers tend put out great high's and their mid range is pretty good too(for what they are). Although i think our trunk speakers are 4.5" with 1/2 tweeter next to that.. Im gonna go ahead and just put 2 6x9s back there. Oversized 6.5s are in the door and sail panel if i recall correctly.

Ive always gone with boston acoustics for my car audio. Little pricier but worth it.

00T/A, how did you get yours to fit? Are they the oversized 6.5's? I want JL components in mine.

depends what ur lookin for. infinity and polk for example are good but require a lot of power. pioneer and jbl on the other hand dont need as much but arent as clear. 3 ways have 2 tweeters(more clarity and highs). 2 ways have more bass. best thing to do is get a crutchfield mag so you can see all the specs. look at the sensitivity rating it will tell you how loud a speaker is. anything in the 90's is pretty loud.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
neither. it's a 4" mid and a 2" tweeter. 6x9's don't fit. 4x6's will. You'd have to cut out the stockers and fit in the new 4x6's from behind. Honestly-don't spend a lot of money for the rear hatch, they do get heard, but barely. I'd spend the money on some nice front speakers-Infinity Kappa 67.2i's and depending on how hard you want your bass to be-either a 10" in the rear or some eu700's in the b-pilars.

Well those are the only speakers that even work in my car, i bought the car like 8 months ago and for some reason nothing else works. There is a alpine amp mounted in the trunk but i don't even think its hooked up and i really don't want to mess with trying to figure out what's going on with the wiring. Are the 4X6's pretty easy to install?

As far as the hatch speakers go i'm gonna choose between these two, what pair do you think i'll be more happy with?
