Automatic windows went out

The other day I went to roll my drivers side window down like I normally do and when I let off instead of automatically rolling down the rest of the way it stopped. At first I figured I didn't hold it long enough but low and behold its out. i took the switches out but can't seem to find anything wrong. Any ideas?

sorry how about the motor ? is it getting power ? if you got power to the motor and nothing is happing timeto change out the motor

You might need a new switch.

another way to test the switch is to try to by-pass it and see what happens

I just installed a new power window motor today for my 98 Formula and its a huge pain in the ass. Take it to the dealership or have someone else do it. Took me about 3hours because of rivots. =(

Yeah, I had the motor go out on the other side and didn't want to deal with it... This sucks. The window still works it's just a pain in the @$$ to have to hold it down the whole time. I know it's pretty petty, but It's still annoying, and I don't want to buy the switch if that's not the problem.
