alternator wiring?
Alright so about a week ago the alternator went out, in the process of taking it out and putting a new one in, the main wire that plugs into the alternator got snagged on something and broke! i call myself stupid for that happening...... anyways i went to chevy and they gave me a new plug with 4 wires coming out of it and said to splice it into the other wire and it will be fine "its a universal plug" well i dont know if im supposed to choose one of the 4 wires or wire all 4 into the one original.... i tried just one wire to one wire and works fine but after 4000 rpm my volts drop to like 10 so obviously its not wired right. does anyone know how im supposed to wire this? please help!
