Thumbs up Added an Aux Port to my Stereo

I know many people have asked about this or have even done this. Iv found this tut on how to do it Here and so far I think its the best thing you can do if you want to keep the original HU and dont want to spend $80+ on adaptors or crapy transmiters.

I just got done doing this mod on my Factory HU and am very pleased. i have not got it fully installed in the car yet but have tested it and works great for me.... i will have pics of it fully installed soon!

ya i spent like a total of like $8 on the jack and Heat shrink way better than an the stupid I-Trip i was using. i had to turn the bass up on my HU with my I-Trip and now im turning the bass down with this set up.. its just like listening to a cd.

I completed this mod yesterday and I sure do like it!!! Easy to do and works great. Thanks for the write up. One question. A buddy of mine has a 2003 dodge ram pick up and he wants to do the same thing. Can it be done and would the left and right speaker wires be in the same location?

Works normal, just the audio goes through the car speakers. It can be used for phone calls too, I use/used it all the time.
