6x9 's in rear deck ?
so is it possible to cut out the teeny tiny rear speakers and drop in some real 6x9's? or possiblyt 8x4's?

Not in a 4th gen it isn't. The plastic panel is way too flimsy for a full range speaker the size of a 6x9. You would more than likely get some real nasty vibration noise. I don't think there is adequate mounting depth for a 6x9 either.

I covered my rear deck backside in thin eDead sound deadening and it really made it solid. I am only running some 4 inch Pioneer, but they sound alot better and I even used the sound deadening to make a enclosure, so the speakers directs the sound out better. I don't see any reason a 6 1/2 inch speaker wouldn't fit and sound good back there with some sound deadening to stop the rattle and hollow sound.
