    2002 Camaro Sail Panel Speaker

I am wanting to upgrade the speakers that are directly behind your head (the ones in the sail panel, NOT the ones in the hatch back area)

they sound like crud, and honestly dont remember if they always sounded like that or not, i bought it brand new. i dont listen to rap or whatever they call it now, just good ol rock and roll, and like to jam. these speakers only have bass come out of them, NO VOCALS or highend sounds are emmitted.

what can i go with that are a direct replacement for the stockers, I dont want to modify anything to get them to work.

    Thanks

Yepp Our sail panel speakers only receive bass Frequiences from the amp. Personaly i went with some Pinoneer 6.5's i beleive, its been a while and they just bolted right in with no issues.

    Factory Replacement

These are supposed to be an improvement over the original and less likely to blow.

For the reason mentioned here...Sail panel speakers only receive bass frequencies from the amp. Even if you put in an aftermarket speaker that can reproduce the entire frequency range (or close to it, as no speaker can play the entire range), it will not play all of them because the higher freqs are being blocked by the amp.

Do you want that set of speakers to play the mid range and high range frequencies or continue to just play bass notes?

Just buy a midbass speaker, 6.5" tiny version of a sub woofer. They are designed to play low and mid frequency. Perfect for what you are looking for, they make them in 6.5" and they have several brands and power levels to pick from.

Just google midbass speaker and you'll find a lot of links.

Here is a page with a few.

yeah i didn't order those exact ones, it says those are NOT for the t/a.. so I looked through their other items and found the ones for a t/a. But I'd imagine they'd be the same as far as quality and sound.
