Do you mean that after this group order you will no longer make these overlays even if a person still wanted this work of art?

Will you be selling the designs and tooling to someone else, or is this it for these awesome guages?

Sorry, lone, This is it. Looks like we're closing shop in 5 months. As of right now, we're trying To drasttically reduce our overhead and inventory. We're just stretched too thin at the moment.
But if you ever wanted gauge overlays... GET THEM NOW!
Orders close tomorrow.Last edited by Sommer86@6LE; 05-15-2010 at 07:49 PM.

Well this news totally sucks!!
I probably won't have enough money saved up for a car at least until next spring, and this was one of the first mods I had planned on. Not to mention the CME kit. You should really consider selling to Third Shift Studios or something. You guys make some of the nicest stuff out there, and it would be an absolute shame for it never to be availiable again.

Thanks for the kind words...and I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, guys... If you go on "the other LS site" you can read why he's decided to close shop. With all the things he does for work, this one has to take the back burner and it really can't with orders coming in daily. It really is nuts at times. Thats why he runs group purchases. They run a month long and lets people save up, but in the end, it fizzles out.
The fast and easy to produce items will stay until the end, but GP's for custom items like these are going away.
There seemed to be a LOT of people who said they wanted this GP to happen, and we did it as a "last hoorah" and in the end theres only 14 or so orders as of now. Mark just got tired of hearing the "one more GP and i'll get in on it for sure" line. He did it, and only 14 wanted in. That's part of the reason he's getting out... to keep his sanity, lol.
The very first GP, sight unseen had 26 orders! Now, it's just not worth the trouble when 16 (2 overlays a sheet, and we need 8 sheets now for a price break) are needed to start to turn a profit.
I'm still trying to talk him into 1 more "last hoorah" before we're all done, but he's hesitant as he'd like to be able to fix any errors and not turn his back on a community he loves. If MY idea works, and he does one last one, i figured it could happen in 3 months.....that way, there's a month order, 3 weeks to print and ship, and then he'll stay for 1-4 weeks to address final orders (like needles) before pulling the website.
But... I'd get my order in if just in case.

In 5ish months it'll be everything that's gone. Starting ASAP, all the customizable pieces are going. That's why this was the last GP for the overlays. (he'll take your order if it done today or tomorrow)
We're thinning the stuff made out of house since it costs the most and takes the longest to get out. It just feels we have WAY too much stuff we try to stock and it stretches us thin. I think we already got rid of:
spoilers
hoods
seats
wheels
gauge overlays
delete plates (radio, vents, etc.)
double din radio bezels
there are some other things too. However, we still have stuff coming out, like the bumpers and possibly the targe top too. I'm on my way in a few minutes for another fitting. He was talking about finishing the shaker hood last week too.... And it would be FULLY FUNCTIONAL!)
We're not going anywhere for a little while, we will be exiting around mid fall when central and east coasts of the U.S. have put cars away for the winter. Hopefully they won't notice that we've "disapeared".

All the headache stuff went away first, then we sold some stuff out. Soon it will all be gone.
There is no tooling or anything to sell. We have an in at a HUGE company that back doors these for us.
If anyone else would try to do what we do then you'd be paying $500 per overlay and that would just be to have it a different color and an extra symbol that lights up.
Sorry everyone but it is back to being innovative on your own. We tried to be innovative for everyone and get products made but it is too much money on our part to keep hearing, "my cousin's brother's cat's niece cat just died or I'd SO buy this..." lol.

We understand Mark. It just sucks that it is going away.I am glad I had the money to buy my CME valence when I did. Wish I had the cash to get in on this for dang sure.
If you do decide to do one last GP give us a bout a month if you can to order so maybe more of us can save some cash up.
