If the drivers are equal the GTO. A GTO with those mods should be well over 600hp at the wheels, more than enough to make up for the weight differential IMO.

Last I checked, the ZR1 was putting out around 638 hp at 6500 rpm, and 604 ft lbs of tq at 3800 rpm. 1/4 mile around 11.2 seconds or so at 130+ mph. It would be a decent race, but I'd give the win to the Vette still. Plus, no info on how much boost either is running - so as is usually said - Run 'em and find out!

I'm voting zr 1 by a bus length or more.

IDK guys those are crank numbers for the ZR1 but it's a 10 second car with tires there is no denying that. I just figure a stock ls2 with a maggie will run mid 11s, stroke it, add a cam, heads, good tune that should be good for at least low 10s with traction. Both will have issues with traction so it's probably a drivers race.

lol I like the ZR1 myself, but I thought just maybe with an extra 123WHP the goat might stand a chance?
It seems like the general consensus is it's a driver's race? or... the Blue Devil by a bus.Last edited by AKA Speedy; 04-23-2012 at 07:00 PM. Reason: clarification

YELLOW- 2005 GTO
Even if the gto was putting out 700 at the crank Id still go with the zr1. That extra hp in the gto is just compensating for the extra weight.

I'd have to vote ZR1 also.
