WS6 or GTO?
Like the title says, which should I go for? I am also looking at a few Z28s but... I dunno. Camaro's don't impress me much but then I don't know a whole lot about Z28s beyond they had an LS1 in them. What's the GTO like? I never even heard of them (I know, wierd) until a couple days ago when I rolled into a pontiac dealer and saw a silver 2006 sitten out front. Are they the new Trans Am or what? Sorry but I am not exactly car wise, though I am slowly but surely trying to learn. Any advice or opinions would be much appreciated =) gracias.

as far as 1/4 mile They are just about the same . A ss/WS6 vs a 06 GTO ...
So it depends on what you want in the ride ... GTO rides better and is a tighter car ... Fbody ... not so good a ride but you get more attention ..

GTO is a better Daily Driver/ cruiser because its more refined, tighter and better ride quality. the motor rips, stock so thats another big plus. even though the Fbody is prob just a tick slower stock for stock, its still a better performance machine in the long run, i would think. its lighter and has a better stance and lower center of gravity, which i would think is a better platform to start with. either one is a good choice though.

Spice Red- 2006 GTO
My son has a WS6 and I have an 06 GTO. We both are very satisfied with the car we have. We haven't raced yet (my wife won't let me) but they are both very fast. The GTO is more comfortable if you are going to spend a lot of time in your car. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Drive both and if you still have to ask then I would buy a Cobra!!
Just joking but the LS2 compared to a LS1 F body I can't see the two being close if you get to drive and beat on both.
It's like night and day due to the TQ curve...... Not to mention the IRS hooks better on the street.
1 Vote for the GTO.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

Quicksilver- 2004 Pontiac GTO
I've had two F-bodys, a new 1993 Z28 and a new 2002 WS6. I found something to appreciate about both of them but I now own two GTOS. I wouldn't go back. On the other hand, I know a guy who just couldn't get the F-bodys out of his system and replaced his '05 Goat with an '02 WS6. It's a matter of preference that only you can decide. Either way, you'll be okay.

Pewter- Y2K WS6
Is that a GTO or a fat neon?
I'm an F-body guy just for the attention whore aspect of the car GTO blends in too much

You can't go wrong with either one. I would prefer the ws6 with a ls2 motor.

Get the GTO if you want a solid 400hp car. Get a WS6 if you want a car that doesn't look like a fat Grand am.

I don't agree with everything you said. The GTO is heavier than the f body, thats why the ls1 f body's can easily keep up with the ls2 gto's. The gto's do have a better interior, handle better, nicer quality in general but it looks like a ws6's bitch. Sometimes off in the distance i mistake the neons for gto's and vice versa lol.
Think about this: you can get a nice TA or camaro for 12 grand, then add another 12 grand in mods that you would have spent on the goat. So you spend the same money to end up with either a 400 hp goat or 500 hp TA. its up to you man.1999 Trans Am M6
