Yellow- 2004 gto
Wheels and tires!
Looking to put a set of 18-8 w a 42mm offset and 265's on the rear should this work fine without rolling the fenders or rubbing issues

Just 18x8? I don't think you'll have any issues. You should roll the fenders just to be safe.
Factory specs for 17s:
Number of Bolts: 5
Bolt Diameter: 120 mm
Offset: 48 mm
Stock Rim & Tire: 17x8 inches (245/45ZR17)
Alternative Rim & Tire: 18x8 inches (245/40ZR18) with no change to speedometer
18x8 in the rear with a 42mm offset seems a bit off to me. Are you going staggered(wider) in the rear?

pewter- 99 trans am
i got 18x10.5 56mm offset on the rear with a 285/35 tire.....no issues at all...

I run Stern ST1 staggered. 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear. I believe the front offset is 35 front, 39 rear. Could be wrong. Been a while since giving my wheel specs.
extreme dimensions, driveshaft shop, harrop, hid(35watt/6k) lows, hurst, k&n, led fogs, maverick man, mishimoto, nitto, revshift, slp, stern st-1, smoked sidemarkers, whiteline poly radius rod bushings

I am running 18x9's on my 2004 Goat and I do not have any problems at all.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k
