What are the spec's on the GTO rear-end

Does any know the size and spec's for the GTO rear-end. I know the ratio is 3.46 but don't know the size and bolt type.

    Well......I am old and senile
I beleive the stock rear end is a 7.5 inch 10 bolt POS basically from a S-10...
Go Moser and be done with it The Harrop Diff cover does significantly improve things...and subframe bushings should be good to go up to arounf 450RWHP....then your gonna need drive shafts / axles etc. It never stops does it

Thanks I am looking to change out the Ring and Pinion gear to something different not really looking for it to handle more power. I am planning to stay below the 450 HP range and will not be drag racing the car.

    10 bolt from S-10?

The rear gear is small, can't remember what it actually was as its been awhile. But is was 7-7.5 on the back side and another inch on the tooth side. About twice as thick as a GM 7.5" 10 bolt. Gear contact is also quite big.

They are extremely strong for their size. Many Monaro/Commordore's running 11's without problems. Some in the 10's too.

Diff Technics sells gears for this rear. They are not a sponsor over here so can't really give the url.
