What happened to my front end?

I was looking at my car the other day on flat surface and noticed there was a difference in the gap between the tire and the fender on the front tires. The driver side tire was maybe a 1/4th inch from the fender, while the passenger side was over half an inch. Im thinking either the crappy lowering springs my car came with when I bought are finally taking a poop, or it has something to do with the struts?

Could you send me to a Pedders link as to what exactly I need to replace it. Theres so many different types of bushings im not sure which one will fix my problem. At the same time im thinking of going with a 3/8" pedders front spring replacement(since the springs will be out) and eventually knock out the rears with a 1/2" drop from pedders as well.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

The strut mounts can be checked for failure in the driveway. Remove the top strut nut (24mm) and the mounting plate. Look at the rubber strut mount using a bright flashlight. Check for cracks in the "corners" of the mount. Also look to see if the metal ferrule is still centered or is becoming disconnected from the rubber mount. All are pretty good indications of failure. Using a 24mm deep socket, try to tighten the nut that's now showing. Turn a 1/4 turn. There should be some resistance when tightening and spring back when pressure is removed. If either are not there, another sign of a failed mount.

Check the struts for leaks and damage while your at it. Look for oil / greasy dirt on and around the spring seat and seals. If the strut is leaking, it will fail or is already failed. Replace the struts 1st if they are leaking.

The 5851 mounts and 5030 bearings should be done at the same time. The springs can be done later using the OE struts if they are in good condition.

    peddersusaGTO catalogue

    5851 Strut Mount - $42.99 x 2
    5030 Bearing - 38.57 ea x 2
    4306 hardware package - $15.00 x 2
    2151 3/8 drop spring $89.62 ea x 2

    Cheers,
    Dan

You can re-use the OE end-links with these if you like. 424209 are the Pedders HD Links.

need to have the order first before I can get them to you.
