    what could i do?

I have $3000 saved up for my car and i was wondering what i could do next to get better 1/4 mile times engine mods/ chassis mods? The mods i have now are Pacesetter headers with 3" mid pipes, slp loudmouth exhaust and K&N CAI, and a HP tune. and i dont want to put on nitrous.

Check out my thread. the lower #'s on the dyno sheet are a Comp Cams 281 XER and LS2 243 heads w/mild porting. You can pick up a set of these pretty reasonably on LS1gto or LS1tech.com. The cam was a little big for daily driver but really woke up around 3500 rpm's

If my suggestions aren't for you maybe you should venture farther into the internet, like LS1GTO.com

Here's the way I'd do it, If you have an M-6 get a B&M or GMM ripshift shifter for it, and a new clutch so that when you throw alot more power to it, it will live and not slip. If you have an auto get your line pressures optimized and a good stall converter. Either way you should get a harrop diff cover and some 3.91s it will almost eliminate wheel hop and extend the life of your rear end. Also you will want to swap out the shitty 2 piece drive line for a good 1 piece. And if you want to get serious, swap out the stock half shafts for some good aftermarket ones. If you do all this you'll have some preety stout running gear. Now I realize you can't buy all this and have it installed for 3K but I really wouldn't start on the engine til I done all this, and then I would go with a good MS3 or MS4 cam and some patriot stage III heads, and swap on a F.A.S.T. 90 intake. All this wrapped up in a good tune would make for a bad ass car. The reason I wrote this knowing you only have 3K to spend is so after you spend it you don't have to get on here and ask "what should I do next". I'm sure someone will have a few more things to add.
