I was running a 220/224 112lsa, it wasn't bad, just not big enough for me. lol I'm ready for a bitchy daily driver, but this one might be alittle on the big side.
since you have it, I'd put the 228 in and try it....my old one kept me happy for a year.

going from -4 ° overlap (old cam) to +15 ° overlap should make it a nasty beast

Thats why I'm looking into a bigger cam because I don't want to do the swap and the next year find a diff. set up.

I hope I'll beable to give a good opinion of the new setup by the end of the weekend......weather permiting, they are calling for a chance of snow/ rain here again on sunday......that wouldn't make for a good test and tune lol

I diidnt get as much done as I wanted to last night, but got the deck and pistons cleaned, cam is in, lifters in, and timing set on.

when I get off work today I'll be popping two valves in a head and checking PTV clearance, and degreeing the cam in, then lapping valves and assembling the heads!

I took a few pics already, just have to get time to post them......these 14-16hr work days are cutting into my play time lol

I lost a push rod somewhere in the garage and will have a new one waiting for me when I get home today.
the motor is dine except for dropping the last pushrod in then bolting the valve cover/ coil packs on.
ABS delete is done, just have to bleed the brakes!
didn't have time yet for the computer and coil pack relocation, but hoping to have the beast fired up today after work!
