    tranny time

I left my house to head for work this morning, pulled out of the driveway and the goat shifted good and into 2nd and chirped the tires just like it always does....then 3rd good and hard.
drove about a mile and the engine started reving free like it was in neutral.....dropped it down in 3rd.....nothing....2nd.....nothing.....1st...nothi ng.
shut the car off and let it cool down for about 5 minutes turned around and got a good launch and shifted through the gears.....then nothing again.
did this two more times and finally got it home and in the garage.

so now after $1,057 I'll have a new TCI stator, Hugh's performance racing rebuild kit, and B&M 3,800 stall sitting on the porch from Summit Racing in the morning.
I should get off work around midnight tonight and start pulling the tranny tonight and have it tore down and ready for the new parts by sun up.......the 30 pack of Keystone lite is in the fridge chilling and ready for me.

yup the tranny was stock, I was running a TCI 3,000 stall with cooler and with hptuners firmed up the shifts and dropped the shift times/ delay.....it ran and shifted quick/hard as hell for about a year and now I have 75,000+ miles on it so I guess I can't complain lol

the old 3,000 stall? the tranny pan was full of black fluid and metal shavings, the pump gave out and tookout the input shaft bearing.......no clue what the inside of the old stall looks like so I wasn't going to risk using it again and wouldn't feel right selling it to someone else if its damaged or full of shaving that could be pumped back into the tranny

I have it down to a science.....1 hour 15 minutes to drop my tranny from the time I pulled the car into the garage, till the tranny was out and sitting beside car....no lift and no air tools

got the tranny back in, fired the the car up on jackstands and topped it off.
put it in reverse and the tires spin backwards, put it in drive and the tires spin forward!!!!!!
I need to get some gas, put the exhaust on, sit the car on the floor, then put the front bumper on and go for a test drive!
