It'll be another 2 months before I can even think about making a pass at the track.

I'm at a hotel down by South Georgia Motorsports Park so that I can get there early for Pony Wars tomorrow. I got my personal best at this track two weeks ago at 70 degrees. If the weather report holds up I'll have 50 degree temperatures from 10 to noon tomorrow so maybe I can get my 10.

It's 28 deg. and snowing here and my local track was bankrupted by the IRS and dug up by the EPA.

Closing the tracks got to suck but being dug up probably gives little hope of someone buying and reopening.

Not in New Jersey. It will become either a superfund site and take 20+ years to clean up or a townhouse complex. The EPA wants to close down Englishtown as well and they may get their way. That would leave Atco in South Jersey as the only dragstrip left in the state on NJ. 9 Million people in the state, highest taxes in the country and only 1 dragstrip. Also, NO quad riding on any public land. If you don't own it you can't ride on it. I'm gonna' move when I can. PA is only 20 min away.

Man I'm really sorry about most if yalls track situations. I ran my personal best last night at a 13.08! I'm really excited to see if I can bump myself into the 12's. @2002ssslp what was the EPA's beef with that track?

Mostly oil, gasoline, rubber, anti freeze and noise. In NJ a small frog or turtle living on undeveloped land will cause endless enviornmental studies which will take years and tens of thousands of dollars. Also, a dragstrip will pay only so much in taxes but a townhouse development with pay over a hundred times that in taxes for the town to spend. It looks like we are going back to racing on the street again. If I get stopped by popo and they ask me why I was racing on the street I can tell them it is the only place to race. Sad. BTW, nice times.

I think a more aggressive tune will get me where I want.

Be carful, thats means a leaner tune and that can be walking the edge, the leaner you go the more power but if u have knock something is going to break, i had an extra 45rwhp and 35rwt but knock was a problem when we had our 100+ temps in TX, AZ, NM, etc the tune would be dangerous, i would perfer to run a little rich and save the engine than a few hp, my perspective. Regardsd, Jack
