Yup we sure did....but these are on the opposite side of where you would put a chain on...act as a shock absorber.....some have them on and love them....from an engineering percpective they make much more sense than poly/solid motor mounts.

does anyone still run solid steel mounts any more? any advantages/disadvantages?
also I've made seleral driveshafts in the past, if I made a one piece for the goat do I still need to keep the rubber discs on each end?

I wouldn't. My 1 piece doesnt have rubber on the ends. Solid motor mounts I feel would shake your teeth out.

if you get your motor balanced by someone you trust to balance properly, solid's are tolerable. i've run 'em in other cars, but really for drag racin'.

-also big cams make them a little rough for DD'in.

+1..lol that and the trans mounts are never a good idea ,I still have stock mounts in mine they seem to be doing fine, solids are just for racing as was said above..thats why the stock GTO shaft had rubber on both ends, for the vibs...

we have some bad ass motor mounts we just pucked up.!!!! here is a pic! these are 199.99 plus shipping. here is a quote from SCSS.
"We have released a new set of motor mounts made specifically for the GTOs dubbed KAZA Engine Mounts. These engine mounts are made of high strength DOM steel, utilize enclosed poly bushing, and best of all - these are rebuild-able. Currently 1 set on my own twin turbo GTO and I love them. These are noticeably better than OE. There is virtually no flex of the engine. More power is translated to the wheels while minimizing losses due to engine movement."

also have a trans mount about to come out, and they already have the slightly softer mount like this made for street use.
