Tire rub?`

My new GTO (05) is supposedly stock. M6, 17" rims and I think stock tires (dunno yet going to look up tire size when I get home, wife wanted to drive it today). I get tire rubbing the outer fender lip on occasion (both sides but more on the driver side) when driven real hard or when hitting large dips or bumps with some speed going. It will do it launching hard and every gear change and sometimes will do it during the whole second gear. It is not rubbing where its damaging the tire its just a slight rubbing but it is annoying. Is this normal or do I need check springs/shocks or possibly too large tires in the rear.

I have the 04 impulse blue and it came with stock 245 45 17 and they didnt rub but when i went with 245 40 18's i got more rub on the passenger when i drove hard. I have talked to a couple of people, and they said drag bags should help with that. And if your going to go with drag bags DONT put the hoses together. had to throw that in there

I think I found out the problem as soon as I got home, 275/45 17's on the rear. Only rubs when driven real hard and is not gashing the tires up so I'll not worry about it for now.

pyro449 how long did it take you to put on the drag bags? and did that help you A LOT such as wheel hop and other things. and why not put the hoses together?

Also consider cutting/rolling your fenders, Maybe a cradel alignment....The drag bags also, they are nice for reducing wheel hop.

you dont want to put the hoses together because when you turn a corner the pressure goes to the other drag bag and the other deflates

I took about 2 hours and it did help a little but the most was with a SLP sway i am able to launch at the track at about 3500-4000 without any problems on street tires will even be better with slicks
