    Texas Speed Torquer 2 Camshaft

I am looking to buy an 06 GTO with a Texas Speed Torquer 2 232/234 .595/.598 Camshaft with 114 lobe separation. Anyone have this set up, or know about Texas Speed?

I am also looking at another 06 GTO with a Comp cam. The cam specs out at .605/.609 lift, duration at .050 is 238/240 with a lobe separation of 112. I will be using whichever car I go with as my daily means of transportation. Any advice as to which one would suit me better. I want a reliable animal.

Both cars have intakes, headers, and catback exhausts with short shifters. Any help will be appreciated.

both of those cams are pretty big for a dd, but as long as they have good tunes should be ok once you get the rpms up.....the 114lsa will be slightly more forgiving

I also have the Torquer v2 in a 04!... Except mine is a 112lsa. I am Yellow GTO's idol!.... Just ask him! He lives a couple of miles away from me.

I also recently slid a Torquer v2 with a 114lsa in a 06. It sounds alot more refined with the 114 than the 112.... It is still lopey. It just doesn't have as much of a choppy rabid dog sound. It does pull great though!.... It is also equipped with a 3600 FTI stall.

    cammed car drivability

Thanks for the responses to this thread. It seems like most guys have automatic cars that have responded. If the car has upgraded cam and is a 6 spd does that solve most of the drivability issues as far as stalling and takeoff?

thunk of the stall as a centrifical clutch, it has preset rpms it will grab....a 3,000rpm stall will slip just below 3,000rpm (like having your clutch pushed in) when it get closer to 3,000 it will start to grab and lmove the car(letting your clutch pedal out so it starts to grab bit still slips alittle). over 3,000rpm the stall fully grabs(clutch pedal all the way out) the rpms the stall reacts are built into the stall and cannot be changed where with a manual you can let the clutch out at any rpm you disire at anytime to make it behave how you wwant it to. so basicly if you have an auto tranny you have to match your stall to powerband of your engine mods where you can just adjust your driving style if you have a manual.
lol I think that is what you were asking

    06 PBM GTO(458WHP)SOLD!!
    06 TR GTO~476WHP 425TRQ

I had basicly the same cam in my GTO. It was a HPE C-Cam. 232/234 .595/.598 112. It did ok as a DD. Under 2k you were bucking, but I think it was my tune. Made EXCELLENT numbers and pretty good curve. Made 458/419 with a 90/90 and usual bolt ons.

    Heres my dyno sheet.
