    Stupid Shit....

.....I have been asked at the track/car shows about my Goat...and I shit you not...I'll list them in the order of frequency....
    1. Is it front wheel drive?
    2. Didn't it come with a 6 cylinder? How did y'all get that big ol motor in there?
    3. You'd think they'd put dual exhaust on these things. (Mines a 04 )
    4. This car built in Malaysia or some such shit aint it?
    5. And my favorite only asked once by a real pointy headed fella....
Do you get the oil from Australia for this thing?

Mr. Sarge. You are a good old boy. I love it man I love to read your posts. I have an 04 Gto. I want to put LS6 heads and cam in. How much horse power will I gain. Will I to change the driveline. I either want to go this with this or put a dummy charger on. Money is tight so I need the most cost effective way. Thanks

    gday mate...

They reckon we are not gonna make any more coupes here . The new Holden VE range has just been released and it would look good as a 2door.

Rumour has it that maybe in late 07 or 08 you guys might be building GOATS and maybe exporting them here as Monaros. Cant wait!

Not that I'm bash-ing a bird! You ever notice when you slam the door shut on a Trans-Am, or Camaro you here a mess. You slam the door on a GTO's doors and its like shutting the door on a BMW, Benz, Audi, Lexus, and etc. That's fine engineering if you ask me.

    Very happy with build quality.

My 04's build quality is extremely stout. The door shut test does tell alot as does the lack of body movement when having to swerve and how stout it remains when you have to brake hard and with the smaller brakes on the 04's they are still impressive after you get used to that initial "are these brakes any good" feel.
Ok, so I had a spoiler rattle when shutting, but after tightening up the nuts, sounds solid again.
I only have 2 true gripes about my ownership now-

    1. The SLOW azz seat motors.
    2. The BIG Azz key (could come in handy as a weapon though.)

The ride comfort is excellent and I can compare it to my wife's Lincoln Mark VIII - OK, so the seats are'nt heated(don't need'em anyway) or dual memory with the remotes(that would actually be good as far as SLOW azz seat motors)
The suspension is good without air-ride and 1 less thing to go wrong(make that 6 less things-4 air bags and 1 sensor and 1 air compressor.)

The New-era GTO'S are very well built cars.No doubt.

I had one jackass tell me he didnt know they put stick shifts in Grand Am's, but I get a lot of old dudes tell me they had real GTO's back in the day. I just tell them the new ones will run circles around the old ones. But honestly this is the best car Ive ever owned as far a build quality and performance combined.

I agree about the stupid questions. Two weeks ago a guy said "that car of yours sounds good, but don't you think you should tighten the belts up to stop it from squeeling". I felt like telling him how dumb he was but the guy was half shot in the ass, so I just looked at him and said that squeeling is my blower.
