shorty headers or long tube?
i have found good in both types, i noticed that the shorty gets better horsepower and torque at 30 hpw and 34 torque, and 15 and 17 on the long tubes. which is best for the GTO?
supercharger or turbo? same question

of course the stock ones are fine but if you looking for a power increase go longtubes, no sense in buying something with minimal gains for a ton of money.
Do you have to pass inspections is another factor.
Depends on how much cash you like throwing towards long tubes.
If you want high quality go kooks, if you want affordability/quality go pacesetters
What questions do you have about supercharger or turbo?

pacesetters will do the job. Good stuff. And def lt. But joshies right...the more money you throw down for headers the better the performance...although it's not that big of a difference. I think it's more about quality than performance when it comes to difference in price.

If you are going to spend money on a turbo or supercharger then why save a few hundred dollars and go with the Pacesetters over the Kooks? The Kooks will give you much better performance on a FI or NA application and last longer since they are stainless. IMO Pacesetters are the cheap alternate for someone who isn't going to put much into their car or keep it long term.

right on, i wanna keep mine for a long time and put upgrades on that will not be an issue in the long run either. i'll keep kooks inmind for when i get back. i need to make a list for when i get back.

Sure....air flow...exhaust pressure...you bet it is an efficiency enhancement.....and with efficiencies you can squeeze MPG as well as RWHP.

After my original mods of a CAI, LTs and catback + tune, I gained 2 MPG on the highway. Kooks will tell you that their LTs run lean.

110% agree ^^^^^,get the good stuff, look at it this way makes the car worth more if you sell it,those stainless headers will never go bad if they do ,they come with a warrantee,as far as MPG they do help car will lean out a tad which is nothing new even when I used to run a carb LT did the same thing.LT are one of the best mods you can do for your car now and for the future mods.
mods: custom built twins, built 408 w/l92 stock GM heads,GM matching intake, drag bags, frame ties, aluminum drive shaft, performabuilt 4l80e,Yank converter, ohios fastest and quickest 04-06 GTO 9.52 at 144mph. 1.50 60ft on stock rear end and shafts/suspension,on drag radials.

I was wondering the same thing, about going with LT or shorties. Someone told me the only difference is like 5hp. Is that true? If it is then I'm willing to sacrifice the 5hp so the LT's wont drag cause I'm planning on lowering my car.

Does anyone here have the STS turbo setup on an Fbody? I know someone who lives in my area that has one. He said its good, he only races 1000cc or bigger motorcycles, R1, GSXR 1000, CBR 1000, sport bikes.
