Right steps?
currently have enough saved for the slp longtubes, volant cai, and the new slp flash tuner. good first steps, or am i overlooking something? these are the first of many mods, and was wondering if this is the perverbial "right foot"

I would stay clear of SLP headers you can get better for less money and get a real tune instead of a handheld if you are going to do more mods.

I also would not buy anything SLP...other than their line lock or air lid.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I have the SLP Loudmouth 1 catback and plan to go with either OBX or JBA Cat4ward headers to keep my ground clearance and midpipes to keep the noise to a minimum.

whats wrong with the slp headers? and what would be another long tube alternative that would link up well with the slp loud mouth II system? and the reason i was looking at the handheld is because all of the shops around fort hood gouge the effin ess out of us and im not supporting any of them.

If you are looking for stainless steel, I would get Kooks or American Racing Headers. They are the best available.
SLP = over-priced, low ground clearance, bad customer service, unrealistic HP gain advertisement.

SLP headers are pricey for what you get and the quality of a lot of their products is not that great. Any long tube header will fit your loudmouth fine. If I were willing to spend what you are on headers I would get kooks or ARH. If you want to save some coin look at OBX stainless much cheaper they are on ebay. Handhelds are limited in what you can tune and if you are not tuning on a dyno your not getting everything you can out of your tune. It's your money but it would be best spent elsewhere. If you plan on many more mods you will most likely need to see a tuner at some point anyway. For the time being I would check with Frost he's a sponsor and I know he does mail order tunes for fbodies that people seem to be very happy with just not sure if he does LS2s through the mail.
