    Radiator leak

The front core of my radiator sprung a leak and I don't know how to proceed. Should I repair it, replace just the front if possible, or replace the whole thing all together. It's frustrating me...

I had mine replaced by the shop that tuned my car. Once the plastic end tanks fail, the radiator is done. I think it took the shop about an hour to replace mine as I ordered a replacement online and brought it with me to the shop for install.

I would replace it. It's an 8 year old radiator and if it has already failed once, the next problem probably isn't too far down the road.

Thanks all will do. Also it overheated during a recent road trip, but isn't showing any negative symptoms. Do I have anything to worry about?

If it is running ok now, probably no harm done. Best to flush the entire cooling system and replace the thermostat and hoses while you are at it.

Has anyone heard of cryomax and their products?

The only thing you need is distilled H2O and a quality coolant. Don't be dumping junk into your radiator. Other things to note -- the pre-mix stuff is a ripoff and do not mix Dex-cool with green stuff no matter what the bottle says.

I definitely understand that lol. Cryomax is the brand of radiator I purchased.

I was at work and didn't have time to look it up -- took it to be an additive by the sound of it. Never heard of that brand before. Looks like they are made by a company in Tiawan.

What was the warranty on the new radiator -- 90 days?

Can't go wrong with a two year warranty.
