It all depends on which body style you prefer, because underneath the skin they are the same car.

What year Goat, 04 or 05-06?
Know that you are looking at at different displacement, 5.7 vs. 6.0.

I have a 2006 GTO and a 2000 WS-6 Trans Am. I would say Goat and then T/A but I like my Pontiacs!

Like NavyTATwo, I have had both (05 GTO and 2000 Firehawk T/A), and also a 96 Z28. If you can't get the GTO, the T/A's are the way to go. 10 years later, they still look sick. Get a Firehawk or WS6 if you can, they have cooler hoods and maybe a little more power.

If you plan to spend any time in the car other than short trips the GTO is the way to go. F-body cars are comfy but the GTO has a more rewarding interior. I like flat floors in them as well as the seat! Cant go wrong with any LS engine imho though.

I no longer have my 05 GTO (I5 - rain - hydroplane) but I have replaced it with a G8 GXP. The LS3 motor is strong and the ride is smooth!
