Possible Swap
Hey guys,
I am lookin to make more power but still keep the drivability of my vehicle. Plus i dont want to push my block too far where it cracks under the pressure. So i had a thought. Why not upgrade from my now outdated LS1 to a New gen LS2.
Can i do a swap where i keep the LS1 PCM and slap in a LS2 block?
I will gain so much, 6 bolt mains, startin point of 405hp rather then 350 and 400ftlb in stead of 350ftlb...Plus a stronger block to boot

LOL...you need to figure out where your trying to go with this "project" NAF!! I wouldnt waste my time with a LS2...just go straight to a 408 Stroker and keep all the same wiring/TB setups.

Headless Chicken
I totally agree, presently i am a chicken with his head chopped off...Going everywhere.
Anyways, i am still on my first hurdle of the Lean mixture, i spent my 36hour weekend fixin it so i will see the fruits of my labor tonight on the dyno.
In anycase, i am going for a cam, put my nice new heads on, with all the necessary valve train upgrades and pray for the best...Next will be the tranny swap, will document it so future generations may follow....
I am just lookin for the least amount of effort with the biggest gain...Hmmm, now who does that sound like???

Well...I took a LS1 to 600 RWHP....so it can be done. Didnt last long. But sho was fun while it lasted. Not only the cost effectivness of the iron block 408 in a RWHP/Cost=cost per RWHP exercise...the damn things will outlast a built LS1 or 2. Interchangable so you dont have to mess with harnesses/TB's and all that bullshit. All the brackets ( A/C/Alt etc.) bolt right up and your off like a scalded monkey.....

Ah, i did see that on Allens site....What happened the block twisted then died eh...
Good news, i resolved my tune issues..344hp and 354ftlb at the wheel...12.9 AFR across the board...
I am on the search for a smooth Cam, and have all the needed parts on hold...
I am aimin for 400+hp and 400ftlb with no hassles nor Disastrous issues
