I need to know what battery you guys have in your 2005 GTO.

I just got a voicemail from the guy at the service dept. and he said that my batter is a non GM battery (read not covered by warranty) which is impossible since it is the battery that was in the car when I bought the car brand new.

Unless someone stole my battery and replaced it with another non GM battery the guy is full of shit.

They came with a AC Delco OEM.

Yes. The car was equipped with a 600 CCA Delco battery. The battery was not the sealed unit type, but instead had removable caps. It was waranteed for 3 yrs. The battery failed in my 04 almost to the day, three years after I purchased the car. The replacement battery has a 60 month warantee, 700 CCA, and a sealed case. An all around better battery.
