Phantom Black Owners enter
If/when I ever repaint my bird i'm considering PBM instead of Gloss black. have you guys ever compared your PBM against a black camaro/ta/vette? Does the PBM look dark enough to be black or does the metallic fleck make it kinda grayish? Also, does the metallic help hide dust? That's one thing i noticed when i had a navy blue metallic bird-even when it was a bit dirty, the metallic would shine through

It doesn't hide dust at all, shows everything just like a black car (swirls included). Looks as black as any other black out there to me. Never parked next to a non metallic black before but it doesn't look gray.

Black on Black- 2004 GTO (M6)
Not a big fan of the PBM. I dont have a good reason...i just think a gloss black would look much better on my car.

Black- 2004 GTO
IMO it's the best of both worlds. Metalic up close, but looks gloss black from a ways away. You might get some of the grey effect every once in a while.
However, when it's clean you don't see much of either. All you see is the reflection of everything else.
