    Parking brake handle removal

My parking brake handle won't stay up. I pull the handle back & the brake works, but the handle won't stay up. The button is sticking out longer than it was before. I think the button is broken but I'm not sure how it comes apart. Does anyone know how to remove it?

(1)unhook your battery! (2)take the passenger seat out (4 seat bolts and 2 plugs along the passenger side rocker) (3) roll boot out of the way to expose the 2 parking break bolts I think 1 is 15mm and 1 is 17mm then take the bolt off of end of cable.... and you are done!

    good luck!

p.s. if you hook the battery back up and turn the key on with the yellow seatbelt plug undone you can throw you airbag light and you have to goto the dealer to reset it

Do I need a whole new handle, I think the spring loaded button on the end of the handle is bad. Does the end come off or do you have to remove the whole thing?

Heh, I've got the same problem.

The shine on this car has really worn off with the small shit that goes wrong with it.
