    Numbers are IN!

    Recap:

Installed Vortech V2 S-Trim blower and SLP long tube headers. During the process, I upgraded the factory injectors to 60 pounders and the fuel pump that was supplied with the Vortech package. Also included is air/water charger cooler system to keep everything nice and cool and installed NGK TR6 spark plugs.

    Finally tally?

    538 RWHP / 477 LB-FT Torque with a solid 12.3 AF across the board.

Probably a tad bit more power there, but I'm happy.

    First impressions?

Spent about 3 hours playing around. No traction in 1st, 2nd, and most of 3rd gear. 1000-3200ish RPMs feel a bit stronger, but the rush comes in after about 3200 or so. From there it pulls like a freight train. Mashing the go pedal down at 70 mph in 4th gear is heaven.

My friends ass was trying to eat the seat on one 60-100 mph run on the interstate.

Exhaust note cruising around town is noticeably deeper, but not much louder. Full throttle is a different story, however. Interstate cruising is fairly subdued, actually.

Not sure if I'm going to do anything else to it. Possible a FAST intake manifold or some such, but beyond that will probably be pushing it.

Can't wait to get it to the track!

Freakin sweet bro. Sounds like she's a beast. Have you gone to dual exhaust yet? Lookin at these impression, I might try to get a blower-job from Vortech...

LS1, and the engine is stock internally, other than what is listed above.

I don't think the clutch is going to last very long. It's got 55k miles on it, with 300+ passes at the track, 250 or so of which are on DRs.

To be fair, the ambient conditions yesterday were a w e s o m e. Low 70's, low humidity. When summer comes back around, I expect some drop off.

there wasn't an 03.....there were some 04 models built in late 03 but it's still an 04 model year.

Nice numbers. Get to the track and get the numbers that matter.

Those are some good numbers for a stock LS1. Are you sure you do not have a head and cam package?? But, I have heard only good comments regarding the power produced by Vortech SCs. Good luck to you.

If the boss (read: wife) hasn't got any objections, I'll be heading out tonight.

I've got a bad feeling about my clutch, though.

No track time tonight. Our little boy is a little under the weather, and when he's not feeling well, he's all about his daddy.

All going well, will be out next Friday night.
