When I picked up my car the guy I got it from was saying he thinks that someone put a crate motor in it sometime in its life he was thinking that cuz of the copper head gaskets? So my question is where do I look to see if everything is the same from the factory? And when I was cleaning out the engine compartment I noticed torque paint on the bolts. 69 post yes

Did you get a receipt of the shop that did the install from the previous owner? Could have been a head gasket replacement and not a crate job.

Nope the guy I got it from told me it was like that when he got it two years ago he was an 65 year old man so I trusted his word. He only had the car for 2 years an only put 10k on the car.

2 years and 10k...and had engine work done to it eh? Mewonders if the owner before the previous owner modded it, then decided to sell, and rather than demod, he put a stock LS1 in your car before the previous owner bought it and the car ended up in your possession. If you are the third owner, than I can see your situation.

I dunno if there was any work do thats why Im asking if there is any way I can figure out if the power plant in the car can with the car from the factory. 10k and two years was cuz the guy only drove it in the summer on nice days shit Ive had the car since april and only put 3k on it and cai, lts,and a spintech catback so its doable

You can try to look at the stamp on the block. It's on the passenger side behind the water pump. May have to write it down and do a GMVIS search. Someone here does that. I dunno if the replacement will show up though, if there was a swap done.
