Max Lift for CAM
Anyone know whats the max lift the stock springs can get for a cam?
Its for a Ls1 04 Gto!!
Im looking at this cam my boy is selling here are some specs!
---Mild 525 intake and exhaust lift with 218/228 split duration on a 112-lobe separation angle.
I really want it, its pretty much BRAND NEW!!If you all can give me some info, I really dont want to change anything else, just the cam..No springs, lifters or anything else!!Would this be a good Idea..

Stock Springs=Stock cam only.
Looking for a lot of trouble if you keep the stockers IMO

joshie is right. you NEED to change your valve springs if you go any bigger than stock cam. look on ebay and get yourself a set of comp cams 918 springs should find them for around $100.
I swaped mine out the other week and it only took about an hour and a half start to finish

Always change your springs/retainers when upgrading a cam. Always.

im guessing 32-35...ill shoot high!..LOL...... and when you are ready to do the porting give me a buzz we do a HELL of a HAND port and Polish job on 241/243/317 heads it will out do any aftermarket head out here when we are done with them!
here is a set of AFR's we did the exhaust on for a 1400 HP build.

it all depends on your build. stage 1 is 1K stage 2 is 1500 stage 3 is 1800 and a stage 3+ is 2500. dont let the price scare you though. You can call around to anyone that does had P&P and see that we are way under what others charge. Its good to just do it right the first time!!!! we dont CNC the heads actually we REDO alot of CNC jobs, or should i say clean them up.

we also keep a set in stock. we just do them and send them out to you and when we get your core back be credit you your ore back. that way your cars isnt down!!!
