I'm using LC-20 from lube control. Seems to work good. I never sent in for test or tore anything apart to see if it does indeed do something though. It did make my motor quieter.

LC20 is good for additional add packs and cleans the motor.

At one time this was recommended by the all knowledgeable Sarge and I've been running it since.
Sarge, is this still good or did you find something better?

Now I have replaced the LubeControl "Fuel Power" with the 2stroke oil mix.

I'm still using up my last gallon of the FP-60 and will be making the switch unless you come up with a new potion before that happens. I've been running the stuff in my lawn mower and snow blower too. If it runs on gas I put some in. lol

Read the reviews, it sounds great..i will try this on my next oil change...Thanks for the info...one question...it says 1oz per quart oil, and 1oz every 1,000 miles there after....is that the perfect mix???and also when i start using this, it also mentions that your next oil change should be in the next 10,000miles...do you all follow this also??if so that would actually save lots of MONEY!!!

Many extend their OCI's....but I wouldn't in a LSX motor. It keeps things clean. Clean means everything is well lubed.

I have no experience with LC20, but Lucas oil treatment is slippery. It works well in tired motors so it may not be the best additive for our motors. But, I have personal experience with it in beaters, and it does free sticking lifters and valves.
That being said, it may not be the best choice for motors with .003 bearing tolerances such as ours. I concur too that frequent oil changes are the key to a clean motor. I change the oil every 3000 and use dino oil of good quality. I start with a base of 5 qts of Delo, Delvac, or Rotella and add a quart of synthetic. For the last half quart, I usually pour in a bottle of Valvoline synthetic oil treatment (VSOT) which also provides more synthetic, as in moly, additives to the soup. This way you make a soup high in zinc, the diesel oils, and moly, the synthetic additives in VSOT.
I also use UPF46 filters which filter down to 8 microns and allow about ten pounds of pressure more to pass through to the motor. My personal experience with filters has proven that with any other filter, performance or otherwise, my Goat when hot puts out 60-65 #s at 5,000 RPM, while it produces 70-75 #s at 5,000 with UPFs.
Finally, because of the price of synthetic oil, people extend and extend drain intervals. This is not good practice. Todays dinos are made from good base stocks and provide you with affordable drain intervals. And if you
do not know, or care to know, anything futher concerning oil, know this: frequent oil changes are good for the motor.

Oil Additives
This quote below was taken from a Lucas Oil Stabilizer thread on Bob Is The Oil Guy.com, which basically sums up my thoughts on the use of oil additives in general.
Question: “Is there really a need for an additive to top shelf oil?”
Answer: “No need whatsoever.”
The study of Tribology is a complicated science with a great deal of technology that goes into formulating the motor oils of today. This is why I personally trust Tribologists to formulate the lubricants that go into my vehicles rather than blending my own brew at home.
Today we all have the ability to grade how well the Tribologists do with the motor oils we buy. There are a number of labs that can perform Used Oil Analysis (UOA) on our oil changes. If your UOA comes back with less than great results, switch oil brands until you find a motor oil that works best in your car.
Rather than putting your money into oil additives, put that money towards a good known top shelf lubricant and rest assured that it is a balanced lubricant that will provide great protection and performance for as long as you own your car.
More on the use of oil additives HERE.
