lifters?

was working on my cousins 06 gto today changing heads and cam pulled the lifters out and there were two different kinds, encapsaluted ls2 stlye and nonencapsaluted ls1 style, anyone else come across this?

no, hes the first owner bought the car with 10 miles on it, so nobody else has been into it. i read some stuff on ls1-tech that it is not uncommon for same year cars to have different lifters, but i havent heard anything about different lifters in the same car. where going to swap the older nonencapusalted lifters with 8 new ls7 style.

Something isnt right here.....either the dealer did something or it was a big boo boo at the factory....something is wrong....I'd take it back to the dealer and get his 'opinion".

he talked about calling the dealer but i dont think their going to do anything, the weird thing is that it is half and half and there was one of each on every cylinder.
