    how to take off the rotors?

    does anyone no how to take off the rotors 2 a 2004 gto i am having a problem taking them off i took of the caliper and everything but the rotor wont come off is there in hidden bolts? or something


    help would be great

    rotors

    look at the center of the rotor, theres a circle retaining clip for like for a better word, spray some wd 40 on it and take a screw driver and a hammer and kind of pry it off youll see what im talking about when u get a better look at it

    no im tlking about the back. and i no what u mean kyemt because as of now the car been up on jacks for 5 days none of the auto parts new and so i was waiting for answers here

    rotors

    are u putting on new ones? did u release the emergency brake?? are you putting on new ones when i did my brake up grade after i got the circle clip off and sprayed down with wd-40 i just hit mine with a hammer, since i was installing new didnt matter about the surface,

    how do u release the emergency brake? its down so is that what u mean i have it down but im not sure if i should unhook the cable or something and yes i got the powerslot rotors

    As long as the e-brake is down, you're good. I don't know if they are designed the same way as f-bodies, but if so, you probably just need a bigger hammer.

    well if the e brake is down and u have the circle thing gone off the hub there, just beat the hell out of them till they come off

    spray some pentrant around the hub and around the lugs thru the rotor, let is
    set for a few minutes, tap the hub with a hamer from the front side, spray again, and beat on the back turning the rotor between swings. Corrosion gets between the hub and rotor and kinda swells it some to an interfearence type of fit., once off clean the hubs with a whizzer wheel and brush on some antisize too the hub.
