    just curious how much other goats weigh and how successful everyone has been with weight reduction.

    sofar I've removed the gas tank cage, all the trunk interior, spare, jack, tow hitch bracket, skid plate, complete airbag system and every useless bracket I could find.

    swapped out the factory steering wheel, front seats for Summit racing seats (one piece plastic) and seat belts for 5 point harnesses, and of course the aftermarket exhaust is lighter than stock.

    I know I've taken out more, and I'll edit add when I think of them.....lol it was a big pile of parts!

    lol good answer!

    I've really started looking at the rear suspension and think with alittle fab work most everything under there could be replaced with tubular pieces (lower control arms and rear sub frame), be just as strong and ALOT lighter at the same time.

    I can't tell you what she weighs but here's what's out;
    1) oem skid plate for oil pan replaced with the bmr plate
    2) tow brace
    3) rear seat delete installed
    4) the frame protecting the gas tank
    5) spare tire and jack usually out - when I take her up north goes back in just in case
    5) oem exhaust replaced with a borla
    6) i've done a couple of other items that are in the gargage, but i can't recall

    Don't know what all this adds up to but I can feel the difference in the suspension... maybe 200 lbs, so 3,500 lbs today

    Also, the rear seat delete did not have impact on interior noise...

    I need a grinding wheel, so as soon as I replace that I'm going in the doors and underneath - Sarge has a nice write on all the frame bracing he eliminated.

    My goal is to get as close the weight of a vet as I can. There's VP across the elevator lobby from me with a vet (standard 02) that I want to race. I have more hp and torque - just need to shed a couple of more lbs. Raced an exact match this summer and the guy got a half car on me off the line and we were even after that, but that was without my tune loaded.
