Help
AFTER A HEAVY BURST MY LS1 HAS A ROUGH MISS FIRE SOMEWHERE !
& SOMEHOW AFTER ITS LEFT AT A SHAKING IDLE FOR 5MIN WILL STOP. ?
THIS RETURNS AGAIN & AGAIN, ONLY UNDER HEAVY POWER? THEN STOPS !
Q: Do LS1 coils do something like this, as they die from oldage.?
Q: Could one of these coils cut out and in.?
Happens under power, just as the first "ping" - sensor adjusts the timeing of the coils.
Im Stumped on where to start with these coils!

Yup...tracing down a coil sucks ass....I just swapped out all mine when I had an issue....Replace them with MSD's.....I have the original 8 coils sitting in a box outside....I know I am no help at all.....
Did you swap out the plugs? You could have toasted a plug....

Impulse Blue- 2004 GTO
You need to get it on a scanner and check to see what cylinder is misfiring. That should help narrow it down. Might even tell you if its an injector not pulsing. Depends on the codes that are stored.
