GTO vs RAM SRT-10?
I haven't put this in the racing section yet as I'm trying to figgure the best way to make more money off the guy. I know stock for stock it should be a drivers race- (which favors me) and since it will be on the street traction will be an issue in which I'll keep the T/C on. With both vehicles being 100% stock my 9.35 lb per hp should edge his 10.2 out. But as you know more things play out. Anyone ever race one stock or seen them at the track? Drag times has them on average slower than LS2 6M's. He raced and beat an 04 auto goat and does not know the difference in the 2. He thinks I am like the other one and told me he wants to go for 200$ giving me 1 car. I'm thinking more like trying to talk him into going head up for 400 or more. For added insurance I am removing the V brace, Gas support, skid plate, jack and spare, and I weigh about 50 lb's less than him. What do you guys think the outcome should be should I give him 1 car for 800 or go for the head up and 400? Anyone race one and what was the outcome. This is going to take place but like I said trying to maximize the money here.

Hmm maybe I can pedal it to like 1 or 2 and offer him a double or nothing. 200$ almost doesn't seem worth it trying to get more Crimmus money.

My old 05 Evo stock took one from a 80-120 pass and evos= teh sucka at top end.
Rape him a new one and then laugh because he had to pay a gas bonus for buying one of those things.

OK new update things just took a turn. 2 Friends at work just put a $1000 side bet on it. Unless he backs out it will take place sometime after next saturday (our payday). Now I need to make sure I leave him. I've raced quite a bit and in my stalled Camaro could launch it but this is my first "real" stick. I've tried several different methods. TC on launch at 2k TC on launch at 4k (felt slowest) launch from idle with TC off and TC off launching a little over 2K feathering the clutch. Feathering the clutch seemed the fastest but I've never done this where I could actually see the times. On stock tires (albeit mine are 275 in the rear) what is the best method to launch a stick on the street. It will be a smooth paved 4 lane, not well traveled country highway. Not that I'm scared but 1K on the line I need to make sure. No $ to make any mods before then other than the lightening.
