GTO Key Fob battery
Does anyone know how to change the battery in a 2004 GTO key fob? Pontiac Parts says it is "POA", part of the assembly and has no part # for the battery.Mine still works but is 5 years old and won't work much longer. All my other cars are easy to change, battery is about 3 bucks. Ford Motorhome,Chevy Monte Carlo,Cadillac Eldorado. The fob doesn't just snap apart either,I'm afraid I'll break it.The key itself comes off easy, just 2 small screws. How much is a new fob, if I have to buy one or two.

yeah it sucks. You can but the fobs off of ebay cheap enough.. probably around $30-$40. But then you have to take them to the dealer to get them programmed to your car. Bunch of BS. They should really just have a replacement battery.
