GTO or honda civic? what to buy?

Ok, now that i got you in my thread, my gf is wanting to buy a car. She wants one like mine, but i told her she wouldnt like the back seat w her kids. I suggested the GTO and she has liked what she sees so far. She wants to know what kind of problems to look for and what are common problems down the road. We are looking at 06's. Automatic. Can you guys fill me in a little bit? What kind of gas mileage do you get with a catback exhaust? I am sure she is going to want me to put it on for her. (I wouldn't leave the ws6 at home without at least that. No offense.) Remember its an auto. And how big is the back seat? Can you fit full size teenagers in there? Anything else i need to know? thanks in advance guys.

Well, my friends and family have rode in my car and they all tell me it is very roomy front to back. Spring sag is an issue but usually corrected by dealer if covered under warranty. Back seats split from the sun but most owners advise to tint the rear windows. If the car is gonna be used as a daily driver and kept stock, then no worries.

If she needs to taxi her kids around a lot then the electronic adjusted front seats, that need to be moved to get in the rear seats, will drive them all crazy... She will only see about 17-19 around town and up to 22 on the hwy with some sporatic spirited driving. But dude, a Honda? there are a lot of other GM or Fords out there that would be a lot nicer to drive then a Honda...

06-07 civics also have a recall for wheel bearing that could let the wheel fly off while driving lol

I'd get her a G8 V6 Auto unless she really wants a GTO. My kids fit in the back of my car fine but it is a pain to get into and out of the back seat of GTO. I even had my dog back there for a small trip, she slept on a blanket in the back seat.

Mines an auto and I get 17-19 mixed driving, if I'm not heavy footed.
