GTO or G35?
I can't decide what to get my heart says GTOs, but my head says G35. I was was also wondering are GTOs good DD. Also if I get a GOAT it will be and ls1 I can't find an LS2 one in my price range.

I have driven my GTO in all the snow storms of this season. Not a handfull IMO. Just get some good tires if they aren't on the GTO if/when you buy it.

Do you drink beer or wine.
Beer=GTO
Wine=G35
What I am saying is the only thing that makes these two car similar is they are both RWD and that is it. They attract two different crowds.
Go with the GTO.

I agree with Sarge. My neighbor has a G35x (AWD) and hes jealous of my GTO. I also whooped his ass in a race. Plus, whats going to cost more for maintenance?
I see you're from Massachusetts... here in RI our roads are complete shit, regardless of the weather. Ive driven my GTO in the snow quite a few times, and as long as you dont mash the gas pedal while youre on ice, you'll be just fine.Last edited by PatrizioD; 01-18-2009 at 03:46 PM.

I think I am gonna go with the GOAT, but are they more reliable than other pontiacs because my 2001 grand prix gt is falling apart.

A GTO is definitely NOT a Grand Prix. Any car has reliability/maintanence issues. Do you want a V8 or a V6? That to me answers the question!

I would much rather a V8. My friend has 1999 Z28 and it is a beat.

The Aussie quality exceeds anything you have ever seen from GM.

Now I just have to decide between 6MT or 4AT. I am leaning to the automatic because I have to use the car as a DD

I WILL tell you this. When I bought my GTO last year, we had a snowstorm. My GTO had bald rear tires. Drove through the snow without incident. Last month, when we had our first snowstorm of the year, I tried to drive a customer's G35 coupe into my bay to install their snow tires. G35 WOULD NOT MOVE!!! With bald ass rear tires, the car just sat there and spun the rears. GTO+snow=fine by me.
