GTO door panel removal

Does Sarge or anyone else know how to get the inside door panel off on 2004 GTO? I got all the screws out and the top side window defroster off but it won't lift off. I got one screw out behind the inside door handle. I've got a sticky lock mechanism, but can't get at it. The car has only 15000 miles,but is out of warranty. 5 years old. Supposed to be a problem with the early locks. Mine is below the break point vin of 4L225024. Maybe Pontiac still has to fix it.

I'm assuming you have the door lock knob off too. So if you are totally sure you have all the screws out, and the plastic door panel clips loose. With the window down, tilt the bottom of the door panel towards you a little and wiggle it with some upward force to jog it free. They can be a little stubborn.

I had mine off a few weeks ago to change out the door lock actuator.

No, I don't have the lock knob off. How does it come off? It's square, not round. Does it pull off, or what?

the red round spot on the side of the lock button, there is a small indent, use a small flat head and pop the bottom of the red spot out (its what locks the button down in the door panel)
