Pretty much it's just color and if you want 17 or 18 wheels, there were other options but you will be looking at a pretty standard GTO.

IMO avoid the SAP bodykit option. Once it is damaged beyond repair, you're SOL as the kit has been discontinued.

They make repro SAP stuff though. The biggest choices you would hae with a GTO are color, Standard or auto, And wheels.

Ya know, since I left the "other" forum, I have begun to forget things, haha. I forgot the repro SAP kits/grilles. I have heard they are cheaper than factory.

Can't go wrong with $290 as opposed to $6-$8 for factory grilles on ebay. YIKES!!!

i would prefer a blank canvas because i dont want to get deep into it money wise before actually owning it. the paying it is gonna be enough for a while but mods will come eventually but not before the camaros mods. the one im looking at right now is still under factory warranty so that is definitely a big plus for me. can someone tell me when the factory warranty expires?

There are some ocasional extended warranties, but not alot. I believe most of them are 5 years.

There are a number of companies that offer extended warrantees for "low mileage, late model cars". The ones Ive checked out considered 10 years old/150k too old, so I think you'r GTO fits into their standards. Just google 'extended vehicle warranty' and a bunch should pop up. Good choice on a GTO by the way. The 06's have had most of the minor problems worked out of them at the factory.

pretty much the reason im specifically going for the 06 is there shouldnt be alot to have to fix and it shouldnt give any problems seeing as how my criteria is under 10k miles, and i already have an ls1 so there is no reason to get the same motor in a heavier car. but i will definitely look it up for sure. thanks.

The factory bumper to bumper expires 3 years after the day the first owner bought the car brand new. (or 36,000 miles.) So if the first owner bought it in Apr 07, the warranty would be good until Apr 2010. Etc Etc.

Wooddaniel, Did the first owner buy it Apr of 07, if he did the guy is in the clear but I don't see that in the thread, mine is up 3-2-09 but I bought the extended warrenty and it to me was high dollar { $1400} for 5 year and 50,000 miles. Right now I have 25,500 on mine but parts for the GTO are high. Regards, Jack

He didnt, I was just giving an example. My warranty expires 5/2010 Because that is when mine was purchased in 07. I will probably get an extended warranty just to be safe. Only if it is a good one though. Dealerships make a lot of money on warranties. I used to sell cars for Dodge and I made quite a bit of commission selling pretty much worthless warranties to people. As A result I will also never ever buy a used vehicle from a dealership again. They make around 6-10K off of every one.

My time will be up before the miles are. I only have 16K on mine so far.
