Check your evap cannister connections.....it may have "burped" gas into it....

gas smell
The evap can is attached to the undercarriage above and in front of the differential. You will find two hoses attached to the tank. One goes to the motor (3/8ths), while the other bigger line goes to the canister. Hope this helps. Red

fuel line
This one is for Sarge. A while back you featured a posting showing the bent and restricted fuel line on your GTO. You replaced the pos plastic hose with
a stainless steel braided line if I remember correctly. What size fittings and hose did you use, as well as what type: compression coupler etc. Thanx for any info in the topic. Red.

Yup....and by the way...EVERY 04/05 and 06 I have looked at has the same kinked POS hose....EVERY ONE OF THEM.....
Here is the stock POS...........
Here is the replacement hose/fittings we got from NAPA......
Up front is the NAPA hose with -8AN fittings................

gas smell
Yes, that's the pics I remember. You got the replacement at Napa?? You mean the hose and then you used the old clip fittings. The replacement looks so much beefier, and it should flow better too. The hose is AN 8, so I think I will try that size compression coupler on each end and then connect the tank to the chassis hard line with a Russel braided hose and fittings.
I wonder if the forum member above, with the gas smell, also has a kinked hose??Last edited by rednari; 06-22-2007 at 02:08 PM.
