Finally Sold Camaro now on to the GTO

The GTO is finally coming home tonight. It's taken longer to sell my camaro than I thought but finally it's going to a new home. This will be in my driveway tonight. It was my father's GTO. 05 Midnight blue all stock 6spd with 18in wheels. She has 1800 miles on her. It's almost a shame to mod it and my dad will probably pass out but I don't think I'm going to leave her stock and he knew that too.

Just watched the camaro drive off with it's new owner. Hopefully he enjoys it as much as I did. I can't wait to bring the GTO home later.

Yeah the old man didn't drive it much. He took it out at least once a month and had the oil changed every year. It sat in the garage on a battery tender the rest of the time but no more. I plan on driving it.

great looking car,some ppl say im crazy but i might sell the T/A so im thinking about getting a GTO soon also,great car,mileage couldnt be sweeter,im shootin for a 05 or 06 but if i end up with a 05,getting the 06 tail lights is a must,the 06 tail lights just look better to me for some reason

I loved my camaro but I wanted something more comfortable and was pretty much over the ragtop thing. I really like the GTO's interior it's really nice and comfortable. I may get another camaro maybe even a TA but it will be more of a race car than street car. I'm very happy with my decision to sell the camaro and get the GTO. It was really a no brainer considering how nice it is and the fact I got a father/son deal.

I met the old man for dinner last night to pick it up went out to the parking lot and the tire was flat. He rode over something on the way to dinner so my first 50 miles was on the donut. It's back to normal now fixed it last night. It's not as fast off the line as my camaro it had 410s but it pulls nice up top harder than my camaro for sure.

im really considering doing this myself. i have been reading up on the gtos and it seems like 99% of people are extremely happy with them. how did you make up your mind? ive been driving myself crazy thinking about trading my car in

oh and now since im looking through gtos for sale. any differnece in insurance between the gto and fbody?

I have a buddy with an 02 SS and he loves the GTO seats. The stock rears hold up better in the GTO and you have a bump in the HP/TQ area.

My insurance went up about $200 a year because of the value of an 05 GTO vs. 99 Camaro.

I planned on selling my camaro this year either way just got tired of the ragtop. I told my dad about it over dinner and he made me a deal on his GTO I couldn't refuse. I think even if he had sold his outright I would have bought another GTO. I really like it overall the interior is so much nicer and considering what you get for the $$$ they are a great deal. I have zero regrets about selling my camaro.

Mine came down from the last car I had. My last car was a 1990 Beretta GTZ Quad4. I think I paid around $1500/year for a 6-month policy. When it was totalled and I searched for a replacement, I figured for shits-and-giggles, why not look at GTOs? When I found the one I currently own, I ran the VIN and descrip past my insurance carrier and the quote was actually lower than the policy for the Beretta. I already knew my monthly payments and the insurance $1032/yr was a deal. Been heaven ever since.

Safety equipment-GTO has all available safety features
Anti-theft system-Standard on GTO
